Supercharged smoothie

I am loving this sunny weather. Spring is here and for me that means more salads, fresh juices & smoothies. Yay! I have been experimenting in the kitchen with my essential oils and created this beauty. It is packed full of energy and goodness. I’ve had a bounce in my step all morning. Not only do the essential oils add flavour, they also add medicinal & emotional benefits.

Lime essential oil targets anxiety, blood pressure, dissolves cellulite, improves clarity of thought and memory, boosts energy and promotes a sense of well-being.* It is known as the oil of Zest for Life. According to the Emotions and Essential Oils book by Daniel McDonald ‘Lime instills courage and cheer in the heart. It encourages balance between the heart and the mind. Lime dispels apathy and resignation and instills hope, joy, courage and the determination to face all of life’s challenges.’

Wild Orange essential oil is uplifting to the mind and body. It supports a healthy immune system, digestive system, dermatitis, heartburn, menopause & bronchitis.* Wild Orange is the Oil of Abundance. According to the Emotions and Essential Oils book by Daniel McDonald ‘Wild Orange addresses a wide variety of emotional issues. It inspires abundance, fosters creativity, supports a positive mood, restores physical energy and aids in transitions. Wild Orange also reconnects individuals with their inner child and brings spontaneity, fun, joy and play into one’s life.

Ginger essential oil is the most friendly oil for gut & digestive health. It reduces inflammation & nausea.* Ginger is the Oil of Empowerment. According to Daniel McDonald’s book ‘Ginger empowers individuals in taking complete responsibility for their life circumstances. It infuses a warrior-like mentality based on personal integrity, centralized responsibility and individual choice. Ginger powerfully persuades individuals to be fully present and participate in life.

Peppermint essential oil is uplifting and cooling. For centuries it has been used to support the digestive system, headaches, alertness & endurance. In some women it can affect lactation and decrease milk supply. According to Daniel McDonald’s book ‘Peppermint brings joy and buoyancy to the heart and soul. It invigorates body, mind and spirit and reminds individuals that life can be happy and there is nothing to fear.’
